RWL Water Nirosoft hires Amiad Water Systems to provide a reverse osmosis pre-filtration membrane protection for the Nirosoft desalination plant that is part of Pacific Rubiales oil & gas operation in Colombia. Nirosoft’s purification system treats water produced during petroleum extraction. Amiad’s equipment was selected because the supplier reliably meets stringent international standards and that will perform efficiently and consistently throughout the project lifetime.

Aeromix CEO Peter Gross told WDR that significant site development is required before full engineering and design work can begin. The initial study will identify a power supply and plan a conveyance network while Cook Consulting works with Port Qasim Authority to obtain the necessary off-take guarantees. The project, which will be developed on a BOT basis, will have a final capacity of up to 441,000 cubic meters per day and will serve an industrial park.

Avigdor Liberman, Israel’s Foreign Minister toured the Episkopi desalination plant in Cyprus from April 16-18. The seawater reverse osmosis plant is designed to provide potable water to the island of Cyprus.
