Debittering removes naringin and limonin from fresh orange and lemon juices.

Another industrial process offered by RWL Water is debittering of fresh orange and lemon juices: via specific ionic exchange resins, the naringin and limonin, which give the fruit their characteristically bitter taste, can be removed.

In addition to its high construction standard, the plant offers numerous advantages such as reduced dilution and high finished product quality, low consumption of regenerants and regeneration water, with considerable reduction in running costs. The highly automated process also significantly reduces the number of man hours required to control the plant.
